Shepard Fairey Video Coming Soon
Shepard Fairey came to Dallas, and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to video the whole thing. (Thanks to The Dallas Contemporary) Check back in the next week or two, to see what happened.

Miss Plus Size America
So I had the amazing opportunity to meet and photograph Michelle for POZ magazine. The story was about Michelle being HIV positive, but not letting it have a negative affect on her life. She has recently become Miss Plus Size America.
She was one of my favorite subjects I've ever shot. She had the best attitude. When I suggested that she put on her gown, crown and sash and lets go to Walmart to take some pictures, she was all about it. I really wanted to have this contrast of her in the beautiful gown in an everyday space. Of course adding the detail of being in the doll and make-up aisle was interesting to me. She even suggested that I get her picture greeting people as they come into the store. We had so many people stopping to talk to her, telling her how beautiful she was and how proud they were of her. It was a really cool experience.
