Jack Black Skincare

This was such a cool project, that I was able to work on with the Jack Black team.  I Directed and DP'd on these videos.
We shot this first one at the amazing barber shop in Deep Ellum, Robs  Chop Shop.  I scouted about 6 different barber shops in Dallas, but we knew it had to be this one.  It had such a cool vibe and the decor was amazing.  This first one is their "Anthem" video, the one that shows the look and feel of their brand.

This video is the "How to" video that teaches you how to use the Double Edge Safety Razor, that we shot in the studio.

TIME magazine - Obamacare

I was real excited when I got the call from TIME magazine to go down to Houston and shoot some portraits for an Obamacare story they were working on.  The article was about people in different walks of life and the effects that it will have on them.  The two days of shooting went so well.  The locations were very inspiring (creatively) and the subjects were very cool and easy to work with.  Good experience all the way around.

Here are the tears, but also a few others that didn't make the cut, that I liked a lot.

Couple recent Tears

I'm trying to keep up with the blog lately.  There has been so much going on, that it gets pushed on the back burner many times.  So my plan is to not feel the pressure of writing an essay for each one (not that I do now, but I always feel I should), and to combine recent tears and things.

So here are a couple of tears from my D CEO mag shoot with Ashlee from Ruthies Rolling Cafe.  She was incredibly sweet during the shoot.

















And here is a tear of Chip Tate of Balcones whisky for Whisky Advocate mag.  One cool cat!

Artist Joshua King

Josh King is such an amazing conceptual artist that I am fortunate to call friend.  I shot and directed this little film about his conceptual project for TEDxSMU.

Dick Armey

I got a call from the photo editor of The Washingtonian magazine, who asked if I was available to take a portrait of Dick Armey.  She said that she wanted a "Texas looking" background.  I called my father-in-law who knows every ranch owner in North Texas, and we found the perfect location.  Mr Armey was so great to work with, he is actually quite funny.  My assistants and I were laughing the entire shoot.

Walmart World

I had so much fun shooting this amazing mom and son for Walmart World.  They were so kind and had such a neat relationship.  It really made this shoot a lot of fun.

Modern Luxury Cover

Had the pleasure of shooting the cover and feature for Modern Luxury this month.  Such a fun issue to shoot for, it usually ends up with me meeting some of the coolest chefs in town and trying the most amazing food.  It was an absolute blast working with Dean Fearing and Nick Badovinus.  They had the best attitudes and were up for whatever I had to throw at them, literally.
